Day 1: Kampala to Jinja, via Sezibwa falls and Mabira forest

The first day of this tour is not a so lengthy drive, only about 2 hours but characterized by stunning views of Lugazi tea estates and Kakira sugar works. The first stop will be at Kyaliwajala – a famous spot for roasted chicken and goat (muchomo) and off to Mabira forest where you will take a short nature walk to griffin falls or a zip lining adventure in the interior of the forest and finally a hike to Sezibwa falls before proceeding to Jinja.
Wind down at a resort facing R. Nile, have dinner and night stay.

Day 2: Jinja adventure and visit source of R. Nile

Upon waking up, have breakfast and off to the river you go. Decide to do “tubing the Nile” adventure, half day white water rafting or bungee jumping. Any of these experiences give visitors a chance to touch the waters of R. Nile, scenic viewingand photography moments.

Thereafter go for a leisurely boat cruise along R. Nile that takes you directly to Speke Monument - a point at which R. Nile leaves Lake Victoria for its 5000 miles’ journey to Mediterranean Sea.

Return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Sipi region and nature walks

An early start with breakfast in the heart of Jinja city, and thereafter kick off on a journey northward to the slopes of Mount Elgon; the drive traverses Bugisu land dotted with coffee plantations and great scenic views.

Arrive in Sipi falls area for an early lunch and off you proceed on a hiking adventure to explore the famous waterfalls, caves and traditional homes. Decide to either take a shorter hike direct to the falls or a longer walk through plantations and native villages, but the latter is usually preferred as you get to mix and mingle with the locals.

The Sipi falls are a series of 5 waterfalls giving chances for lots of activities to be done while here; these include swimming and abseiling or just photography. Later on after this experience you will take tour to nearby coffee farms, mix and mingle with residents and taste some organic coffee in the evening.

Dinner and night stay at your lodge.

Day 4: Return to Kampala

After all the exciting adventure in the Sipi region, arrange to depart and drive back to Kampala through Jinja. Transfer through endless plantations of coffee, tea and sugarcane until you arrive in Jinja for lunch and final shopping. Visit some craft shops where you can purchase some African souvenir and travel with them back home as remembrance that you have ever been to Africa.
The guide will drive you through to Kampala / Entebbe airport to catch up with your departure flight back home. Live to cherish all the memories!
