Safari Overview

Enjoy this unique 9-day offer; a lifetime encounter with your closest relatives the gorillas and a unique opportunity of encountering 4 of Africa's big five namely the lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants among others small mammals. You will visit Murchison falls national park for game viewing, hiking and boat cruise; Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive and boat cruise, Bwindi national park for Gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

This trip is in the hands of very knowledgeable guides; classic hospitality at all accommodation facilities, driving through a steady transport network. It starts and ends at Entebbe international airport.

Itinerary in Details

Day 1: Arrival and pickup


After an early arrival at the airport, our company representative will meet you for briefing, before a drive to the reptile village in Entebbe to learn more about the different reptiles such as snakes, snails, chameleons and tortoises among others. Thereafter, you will proceed for lunch in the city, followed by a drive to the Uganda museum and local markets. Thereafter, you will proceed to the lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison falls Via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary


After a heavy breakfast meal at the hotel, you will embark on a 5-6 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park; the largest conservation area in the country, and home to the most powerful waterfalls in the world.

As you undertake an amazing drive to the park, there will be one stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track the only present Rhinos in the country. Thereafter, lunch follows, before an afternoon park arrival for dinner and a nap.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise


You will start this day with a satisfying tasty breakfast meal, followed by a rewarding 3-4 hours’ game drive around the savannah grassland of the northern part of Murchison falls national park. Besides the often seen elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, several antelope species, zebras, and giraffes among others, and you have a chance to spot lions, leopard or vultures feeding, relaxing or hunting. Thereafter, you will exit the wild for refreshment and lunch, before heading for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls.

This ride gives you a clear view of the waterfalls, exposes you to the thundering sound, photographic spots, and offers a chance to have fun, and uncover the hippos, and the Nile crocodiles; besides birds and mammals. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Visit top of the falls and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park


You will have an amazing breakfast meal today, before exiting the lodge for a 7-8 hours’ scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth national park; a medley of wonder and the most visited Game Park through a scenic route covered with flourishing vegetation and captivating landscape.

There will be also a rewarding visit to the top of Murchison falls and lunch enroute. You will arrive at the lodge late in the evening, proceeding for dinner and an amazing slumber.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth national park; Game drive and boat cruise


After a mouth-watering breakfast meal, you will have an amazing 3-4 hours’ rewarding game drive in the vast plains of Queen Elizabeth national park; enjoying the amazing sights and sounds of the mammals; birds, and primates such as the Buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, leopards, lions, elephants and warthogs among others, crested cranes, guinea fowls, shoebill stork and vultures, baboons and monkeys.

You will bring the game drive to a close with a yummy lunch meal, followed by a rewarding boat cruise at the famous Kazinga channel, while spotting the hippos, crocodiles, birds, mammals by the sea shoe and enjoy the cool breeze. You will end this day with dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi forest via the Ishasha sector


After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a scenic drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park via the ishasha sector where you will track rare tree-climbing lions for about 3-4 hours. You will as well spot several unique mammals, in this tree marked region, before going for lunch around the sector and eventually arriving at your lodge in the park late evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi


After enjoying an energy-giving cup of coffee, you will have a very interesting briefing, drive to the park headquarters for clearance and document verification. The park ranger takes the opportunity of briefing to welcome all the trekkers, explain the acceptable rules and regulations, and allocate members to gorilla families of their choice.

Thereafter, the adventure begins, walking through the bushes, hills and valleys while encountering numerous primates, birds, and mammals among others.

From where the creatures were last seen to their current position, you need approximately 1-8 hours of search, plus one extra hour to watch the giant silverbacks, the mothers feeding and the adolescents playing.

Thereafter, you will return for lunch and then a 2-3 hours’ drive to Lake Bunyonyi (Switzerland of Africa); engulfed by over 27unique islands. You will arrive at the park late in the evening, proceeding for dinner and a nap.

Day 8: Full day Lake Bunyonyi exploration


The first thing on this day is an amazing breakfast meal while enjoying the beautiful sunrise and the cool breeze. Thereafter, you will go for a rewarding canoeing experience at the lake which is surrounded by over 27 unique highlands, with lush vegetation and thought-provoking history.

The guide will be showing you the different islands and explaining their uniqueness in the 2-3 hours’ exploration. As you return, lunch will be served, after which you will spend the evening relaxing the beautiful lakeshore, taking photos, swimming, or engaging in any other interesting activity. At dusk, you will retire at the lodge with dinner and a peaceful slumber.

Day 9: Departure


At sunrise, you will enjoy a tasty cup of coffee, before checking out of the lodge for a 5-6-hour breathtaking drive to Entebbe international airport or your hotel around Kampala city. There will be an amazing stopover at the equator to witness the magical demonstration, enjoy lunch and take memorable photos.
