Overview
This trip covers all the corners, and unique attractions in Uganda, with plenty to do and see in the pearl of Africa, call it game viewing, birding, city tour, culture, or primate trekking. In the east, you will visit the source of R. Nile (the longest river in the world), the magical sippi falls, and the ancient Nyero rock paintings. The North presents the Karamojong culture and Kidepo valley national park; the true wilderness of Africa.
The Southern part and Westnille regions welcome you to Murchison falls national park (home to the most powerful waterfall in the world), Queen Elizabeth national park; the medley of wonders, Semuliki national park with her breathtaking hot springs, Bwindi impenetrable national park for Gorillas; Mgahinga national park for golden monkey trekking, and lake Bunyonyi surrounded by 29 islands. Lake Mburo national park for a Game drive and Boat cruise. The trip is well packaged from the start to the end.
Details
Day 1: Pickup-Kampala city
Upon landing at Entebbe international airport, you will look out for our company representative with a placard and welcoming smile. He will gently receive you and then proceed to equip you with the different guidelines concerning your stay in this rewarding destination.
Afterwards, you will head for Lunch if it is time, followed by a remarkable Kampala city tour- where you will visit the independence monument, Kasubi tombs and the National Museum. Afterwards, you will drive to your hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Kampala to Sipi falls Via River Nile
At daybreak, you will link up with your driver-guide for a smooth drive to the eastern part of Uganda; Sipi fall's. The drive lasts for about 4-5 hours, with great views of sugarcane plantations, rolling hills, Mabira forest, and the Magical Nile Bridge.
You will stop at Jinja city to have a boat ride to the source of the Nile (the longest river on earth), and also enjoy your lunch meal. Thereafter, you will proceed to Kapchorwa, where sippi falls is found. Check-in to the lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full day Sipi falls Hike
After breakfast, you will link up with your tour guide who will spend with you the entire day at the falls. You will follow the Sipi track; marked by coffee plantations, ancient caves, scattered homesteads, and unique tree species at the base of the giant Mount Elgon national park.
No skill is required; though physical fitness is essential. You will have Lunch upon arriving at the falls, before spending the evening taking photos, swimming, bathing, or having any other fun, to the time of time returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo valley national park via Nyero Rock painting
At the crack of the day, you will have a lovely 2-3 hours’ tour around the village, followed by a tasty cup of coffee, and then checking out of the lodge for a rewarding 7-8 hour drive to Kidepo valley national park; home to a wide range of fauna and Flora. You will branch to Nyero rock painting; an ancient stone painting unexplained by anyone.
Thereafter, the journey continues, with an en-route stopover for Lunch, and a late entrance to the park, for dinner and a nap.
Day 5: Game drive and Karamojong people
Early in the morning, you will have a rewarding game view at Apoka viewpoint, followed by a delicious breakfast meal. Thereafter, you will have a remarkable 3-4 hour game viewing in the scenic Narus and Kidepo valley. In the course of your quest, chances are that you will spot, prey, predators and Unique bird species notably; ostrich, lions, buffaloes, leopards, elephants, zebras, warthogs, and several others. The breathtaking landscape is one thing to admire during the adventure.
After an amazing adventure, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then visit the Karamojong people. These are herdsmen whose lives from time memorial depended on cattle products for wealth, food, and pride. They will take you around their Manyattas and also through very exciting dance and drama for about 1-2 hours. This day ends with dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
Today, you will greet your intestines with a yummy breakfast meal, and then check out of the lodge for a rewarding 6-8 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park; the oldest conservation area in Uganda, and home to the world's most powerful waterfalls.
This smooth drive lasts for approximately 6-8 hours, with a stopover at Gulu city for lunch, and refreshment. You will arrive at the park late in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Morning game drive and boat trip
Early in the morning, you will enjoy a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a rewarding game drive in the vast northern sector of Murchison falls national park. The game drive rewards you with unique views of mammals such as lions, elephants, elephants, warthogs, zebras, and numerous antelope species; Birds such as crested cranes, lovebirds, egrets, and Egyptian geese among others; primates such as monkeys, and baboons; and unique tree species among others.
After the game drive, you will have a lunch break and then head for a bottom cruise to the bottom of the falls, which gives you a clear view of thundering falls, and the Nile residents, namely; the giant Nile crocodiles, Hippos, birds, and mammals such as elephants depending on the waters. This day ends with dinner and a nap.
Day 8: Morning top of the falls tour and transfer to Kibale forest
Early in the morning, your intestines will welcome a yummy and heavy breakfast a companied with a cup of coffee before heading on a 2-3hour visit to the top of waterfalls. On the top, you will be able to witness the real description of the world's powerful falls and if lucky spot the eye-catching rainbow.
Afterwards, you will join your driver-guide for a remarkable 8-9hour drive to Uganda's home of Chimps; Kibale national park. You will have a stopover on your way for lunch and refreshments before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and a nap
Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi swamp walk
Early in the morning, you will have a nice tasty breakfast at the lodge and then head to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. Besides the chimps, you have12 unique primate species to encounter during the 1-6 hour quest, notably; olive monkeys, baboons, Columbus monkeys, and greycheecked monkeys among others; bird species like blue Turaco, lovebirds, Egyptian geese; and mammals such as forest Elephants, Antelopes, and buffalos.
After spending about one hour with the chimps, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a visit to one of the most rewarding Ramser sites in the Country; Bigodi swamp, home to great bird variety such as the blue Turaco, primates among others. You will also enjoy photos, swamp walk, and interaction with the locals where necessary, up to when you hit the road back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Top of the world hike and Transfer to Semliki national park-Night game drive
After having a peaceful night, you will start your day with a satisfying breakfast meal, and a rewarding top of the world walk, before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Semuliki national park. This drive exposes you plenty of flourishing landscapes, green plantations, and the backdrop of the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori.
After a 2-3 drive, yummy Lunch will welcome you to the Lodge, after which you will relax, and then head for a rewarding evening game drive in the gigantic savanna grassland. You will have the chance of spotting the forest elephants, buffaloes, besides the Oribis, warthogs, hippos, and crocodiles among others. You will enjoy a sunset drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Guided nature walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
The first thing today is a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a rewarding 3-4 hour guided nature walks, to the famous sempaya hot springs in the heart of the park. its appearance is so breathtaking, and magical as well. Its water can boil an egg to an eating point, whereas the natives of the place consider it to be having the ability to heal.
After a quality time here, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then check out of the lodge for a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth national park' a medley of wonder. Your day is brought to an end after dinner and a nap.
Day 12: Game viewing and boat cruise
You will welcome this day with a yummy breakfast meal, thereafter drive to kasenyi area to view the different wildlife species roaming in this fascinatinating park, notably birds such as the crested cranes, geenefowls, and Rwenzori Turaco among others; mammals such as the lions, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, and different antelope species, vultures, and unique tree species among others. The landscape is also very eye-catching and perfect for photography.
After the game drive, you will have a lunch break, followed by a 2-3 hour boat cruise at Kazinga channel in the afternoon. You will look out for the Hippos, crocodiles, and several mammals that depend on this vast water body. Dinner and overnight come last.
Day 13: Tree climbing Lion Tracking and drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After breakfast, depart the lodge for the Ishasha sector, a unique destination is known for hosting the tree-climbing lions, and several other mammals. You will spend 3-4 hours traversing the different corners of the sector, with hopes of sighting one or two resting on the tree branches. Thereafter, you will head for lunch, and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Gorilla trekking and Batwa encounter
As the sun rises so will you respond to its flashes by leaving bed for an early morning breakfast, followed by a drive to the park headquarters to join the rest of the day's mountain Gorilla lovers for document verification and briefing at the park headquarters? During the briefing, the park rangers emphasis on the dos and don'ts of Gorilla trekking, and allocate members to the different gorilla families open for Tracking. Depending on one's speed and the direction the creatures have taken, you will spend about 1-6 hours searching for the Apes, and one with them.
After successfully tracking the creatures, you will return to the lodge for lunch, and then spend the evening interacting with the Batwa pygmies; former hunters and gatherers in the Jungles of Bwindi. They showcase their local tools, caves, and outfit, in addition to the songs. As soon as dinner is over, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and a night of peaceful sleep.
Day 15: Transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park; bird watching
After having a relaxed breakfast meal, you will check out of the lodge and then transfer to Mgahinga national park; home to the Mountain Gorillas and the exciting Golden monkeys. Upon reaching your lodge, you will check-in for Lunch, and then spend the rest of the evening on a guide birding experience.
The tour guide will help you identify the different birds, their unique attribute, color, and sounds. Afterward, dinner and overnight follow.
Day 16: Golden monkey trekking
Wake up early in the morning and enjoy an energy-giving cup of coffee. Thereafter, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and pre trekking briefing which commences at about 8:00 am for about 30mins by the park rangers.
You will be told more about these very exciting creatures, and the dos and don'ts while watching them in the Jungle. Golden monkeys are a unique species, so beautiful, and swift in movements. It takes about 1-6 hours to find then, and an additional one hour to take photos and closely watch them with full attention.
Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch and then relax for the entire evening. Enjoying your dinner meal and peaceful night is the last activity in the day.
Day 17: Community walk and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After enjoying an energy-giving cup of coffee today, you will have a rewarding 1-2 hours’ community walk in the neighboring villages, to learn more about the life of the local natives, and uncover Facts about rural living.
You will then return to the lodge for early lunch, and then hit the road on a 2-3 hour drive to one of the most interesting destinations in Uganda; Lake Bunyonyi. You will arrive late in the evening, refresh as dinner and a nap comes late in the day.
Day 18: Full Day of Relaxation
After days of nonstop activities and adventure, you will spend this entire day relaxed in the breathtaking shoreline of Lake Bunyonyi; second Switzerland in Africa. Among the many activities, you will do this day include; canoe ride to one of the Historical islands in the shorelines, swimming, horse ride, and nature walk among others.
No meal will be missed, right from breakfast, lunch to dinner at the Lodge. At dusk, our cozy bed will be ready to comfort you until morning.
Day 19: Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo for a Boat cruise
You will start your day with a delicious breakfast meal and then check out of the lodge for a scenic 5-6 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo national park. Along the way, your eyes will be fed with amazing views of breathtaking landscape, plantations, and the long-horned Ankole cattle.
You will have a 30 minutes – 1 hour stopover at the equator photography and to watch the artistic demonstration at the equator line. Thereafter, you will proceed with the drive to the park, arriving at lunchtime for lunch, and then a rewarding 2-3 hours’ game boat cruise in the vast Lake Mburo; with residents such as the Hippos, and crocodiles among others.
Day 20: Morning game drive and Departure
The first thing today will be greeting your intestines with a tasty breakfast meal, followed by an amazing 3-4 hours’ game viewing escapade in the vast Lake Mburo national park. There are no prey mammals here, but you will spot a variety of wildlife such the impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants and many more; birds such as the crested cranes, and geenefowls; and a captivating landscape among others.
After the game drive, you will return for lunch at the Lodge and then embark on a drive to the airport for your flight to the next destination.
End of safari
