DETAILED TOUR

Day 1: Arrival and Kampala City tour

Right at the agreed time and point, your driver-guide will welcome and brief you about the trip details, covering the country laws, activities to be done, and response to your concerns. If time allows thereafter, you will have a Lip-smacking Lunch meal, followed by a remarkable city tour around Uganda's oldest and most magnificent city; Kampala city.

Among the destinations to be visited include the museum; including the country's cultural and historical artifacts, Ugandan monuments and the local markets among others. 

Day 2: Drive to Kibale forest national park 

At sunrise, a yummy breakfast meal come your way, followed by an exit from the Hotel for a remarkable 6-7 hours’ drive to Kibale forest national park; Africa's primate world, with over 13 rare primate species, dominated by Chimpanzees.

Your drive offers amazing views of the captivating landscape, green vegetation, and breath taking views. There will be an enroute stopover for a mouthwatering lunch meal, and before arriving at the lodge late in the evening for dinner and a nap. 

Day 3: Kibale forest national park; Chimpanzee Habituation 

After a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will depart early morning to the park headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing which starts at approximately 8 am for about 30 minutes, before entering the Jungle.

Depending on your trekking speed and the direction these creatures have taken, the quest for your closest relatives the chimpanzees is truly exciting, and 4 hours for habituation is unforgettable. Habituation presents an opportunity of having an intimate relationship with the chimps, sounds, uncovering their attributes, and admiring their appearance. Chimpanzees are human's closest relatives, with over 98% DNA, and human-like attributes.  

Day 4: Full day birding in Kibale forest national park and Bigodi swamp

After enjoying a peaceful nap, you will pick your packed lunch and head out for a full day birding experience at the Lush Jungle of Kibale forest national park. On the tree branches, through the sky, and in the nest, the sweet melodies and color of several bird species manifest, and the eyes are left with no option but to capture every detail of the bird parading on sight.

More than 350 bird species have been recorded here, notably; blue-headed bee-eater, masked Apalis, Cassin's spine tail, and Nathan's francolin among others. After about 4-5 hours of birding, you will have a rewarding lunch break, and then the rest of the day will be spent searching for birds at Bigodi swamp, home to over 50 unique bird species. This day comes to an end with dinner and overnight at the lodge. 

Day 5: Transfer to Semuliki national park- Sempaya hot springs and Game drive 

After enjoying a mouthwatering breakfast meal, you will depart the lodge for yet one of the finest destinations in Uganda; home to a variety of bird species, mammals, and geographical features among others. From Kibale to Semuliki national park, a very captivating landscape, accompanied by the green vegetation among others will be seeing you off to the park.

There, you will have a tasty lunch, followed by a great evening at the Sempaya hot springs, where a majority of Bird species, such as the Ruwenzori Turaco and many more call home. Thereafter, you will as well as have a night game drive for approximately 2-3 hours, before retiring for dinner and a nap at the lodge. 

Day 6: Birding expedition 

After enjoying a tasty breakfast meal, you will join your expert driver-guide for a 4-5 hours’ birding experience at the designated birding areas in the park. 40% of Uganda's rare bird species call Semuliki national park home, thus making it one of the birding paradises in Uganda.

46 Guinea-Congo biome species, white-crested Hornbill, yellow-throated cuckoo, red-billed Dwarf Hornbill, and the Black-Casqued wattle Hornbill. After the search, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an optional game drive in the evening.  You will then call off this day with dinner and a nap at the lodge. 

Day 7: Departure 

After enjoying amazing moments in the different destinations across western Uganda, you will check out of the lodge for an amazing 6-7 hours’ drive to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight, but with an enroute stopover for lunch and photography at the equator.
