In this amazing 5 days double gorilla trekking safari offer in Rwanda and Uganda; expect a lifetime experience and a remarkable adventure. Day 1: pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Upon landing at the airport, our company representative will meet and welcome you for the trip; proceeding to brief you about everything you have to expect in the 5 days, as well as enjoying a sip of Juice, before hitting the road on a 6-7 hour drive to the western part of Uganda to Bwindi impenetrable national park, arriving late in the evening for dinner and a nap.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies encounter

Today starts with an early morning breakfast meal, followed by an amazing drive to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking after the briefing. the park rangers will explain to you the dos and don'ts of gorilla trekking, verify your trekking documents, before escorting you to the Jungle for this unforgettable adventure which also comes with several surprises such as several primates, birds, and unique tree species among others.

The tracking exercise might last for about 1-7 hours, plus one extra hour of watching the creatures play, relax, or feed. Thereafter, you will return to lunch, before heading for an encounter with the Batwa pygmies; one of Uganda's shortest people, former hunters, and gatherers in the Jungle of Bwindi and Mgahinga. They will take you through interesting traditional stories, dances, and village walk, before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Rwanda - Volcanoes National Park


You will follow your morning breakfast with a drive to volcanoes national park; a prime safari destination in Rwanda and home to the sought after endangered mountain Gorillas, man's closest relative with approximately 98% DNA.

The drive lasts for about 5-6 hours with an en-route stopover for Lunch, and document verification at the scenic Uganda-Rwanda (Katuna) scenic border post. The drive traversesthe green vegetation, rolling hills and evening park arrival for dinner and peaceful slumber.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Visiting twin lakes


You will wake up excited about what the day has to offer, but first appreciating the morning with a hefty breakfast meal, followed by an amazing drive to the park headquarters for briefing and document verification. The park rangers will narrate to you about life in the jungle, tracking dos, don'ts and allocate you to the gorilla family of your choice before the ultimate quest that might last for approximately 1-8 hours, plus 1hour of studying the creatures, taking photography and asking questions. Mountain gorillas are humans' closest relatives with over 98% similar DNA and human-like behaviors.

You will enjoy the moment with your closest relatives in the wild before withdrawing from the jungle for lunch and then an afternoon visit to the twin lakes for canoeing, relaxation and photography among others. Sum up this day with dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Dian Fossey Hike and departure


Start your day strong with morning breakfast, followed by an amazing 2-3 hour hike to Dian fossey’s graveyard to know more about gorilla conservation and history. Dian Fossey; Author of "gorilla in the mist" is recognized for her selfless sacrifice towards the rescue and conservation of rare mountain gorillas in the Virunga mountain.

She lies next to her Gorilla friend– Digit and a few kilometers from the karisoke research center where most of the gorilla studies were done. After the hike, you will return to the lodge for lunch, before enjoying a 2-3 hours’drive either to the airport for departure or your lodge for accommodation.
