Overview

A complete and unforgettable safari experience is everyone's desire and in this 12 days offer, you will have fun, explore and discover unique flora and fauna in the wilderness of Uganda, Congo and Rwanda. There will be wildlife viewing in Murchison falls national park; home to the most powerful waterfalls in the world and Queen Elizabeth national park; home to the tree-climbing lions in Uganda; Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park and chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe national park in Rwanda; and then hiking the giant Mount Nyiragongo in Virunga region of D.R. Congo.

Other additional activities include Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, photography, boat cruise, and city tour. Our company takes care of everything, inclusive of picking the best tour guide, accommodation, and a safari van.

Itinerary in details

Day 1: Pickup, Reptile village and City Tour


Today, our company representative will meet you at either Entebbe international airport or your hotel, and then give you brief details about the entire trip, accompanied by a glass of juice. Thereafter, you will go to the reptile village at Entebbe, where the guides will show you the different reptiles and their unique characteristics such as snakes, chameleons and tortoise among others.

After you will go for lunch around town, followed by an afternoon city tour where you will visit the Museum, and local markets among others, before driving o the hotel for dinner and a nap.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls N/P - Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary


Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a delicious cup of coffee, and then check out for an amazing 5-6 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park; home to the world's most powerful waterfalls.

This drive is so amazing, with plantations, and busy streets decorating the route. There will be a one-hour stopover at Nakasongola to track the only surviving species of Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

You will have an en-route Lunch, before proceeding to your lodge in or around the park, checking in late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Murchison falls N/P - Game drive and Boat cruise


You will first enjoy a delicious breakfast meal early morning, before driving to the northern sector where approximately 3-4 hours will be spent searching for the different residents here such as the lions, Buffaloes, elephants, Oribis, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, zebras and giraffes among others; birds such as the crested cranes, geenefowls, shoebill stork, lovebirds and Egyptian geese among others; and unique tree species such as the whistling acacia in savanna grasslands.

You will enjoy photography and glancing at the beautiful landscape, before a lunch hour break, and then an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls where you will enjoy the deafening waterfalls as it flows through a 7mtr gorge to the Nile, spot the crocodiles, hippos and the numerous birds and mammals such as elephants by the shorelines. End this day with a tasty dinner meal and a nap

Day 4: Top of the falls tour and travel to Queen Elizabeth national park


After enjoying an energy-giving cup of coffee, you will have a 1-2 hours’drive to the top of Murchison falls to get a clear view of the source of the falls, rain bow, and the sister falls(Uhuru falls), plus enjoying amazing photos. Afterwards, you will embark on an 8-9 hours’ scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, the most visited park in the country.

Your drive comes with an amazing view of plantations, undulating hills, and scattered homesteads along the way, as well as a mouth-watering lunch meal in Hoima or Fortportal. Dinner and overnight stay come last on this day.

Day 5: Game drive and Kazinga channel


You will have a tasty cup of coffee early in the morning and then head to the wild for an amazing 3-4 hours’ hike across the vast savannah grassland of Queen Elizabeth national park. the drive across the different regions will raise your chance of encountering the prey, and predators here, notably; lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species; birds, and unique tree species, but not forgetting the unique landscape.

Thereafter, you will have lunch, followed by an afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel which exposes you to a variety of mammals and other water residents; notably hippos, crocodiles and elephants among others. You will close this day with refreshment, dinner and night

Day 6: Drive to Ishasha sector and then to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda.


You will start this day very early in the morning with breakfast, and then checking out of the lodge for a drive to the ishasha sector to track the tree-climbing lions. Luck being on your side, you will spot one or more prides lying on the tree branches within 2-3 hours’ search.

Early lunch follows and then a 3-5 hours’ drive to Volcanoes National Park; traversing undulating hills and flourishing plantations. This day comes to an end with a tasty dinner meal and peaceful nap.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in PNV and relaxation


After early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a pre trekking briefing and document verification which starts at approximately 08:00hours with the park rangers who explain the dos while in the Jungle, as well as the allocating members to Gorilla families of their choice.

It can take about 1-6 to locate the gorillas, plus one extra hour to take photos, ask questions and watch their uniqueness. Interestingly, the search is equally interesting; with plenty of other primates coming your way, rare mammals, unique tree species and view of the nearby mountains. At the end of this adventure, you will return for lunch, and then spend the evening relaxing, or choose an optional cultural tour at Ibyiwachu village. You will then retire with dinner and deep slumber.

Day 8: Transfer to Nyungwe national park


On this day, a yummy breakfast meal is served first, before checking out from the lodge for a drive to Nyungwe national park; a primate capital with over 13 unique primate species - chimpanzees inclusive. The drive is so amazing with breathtaking sceneries all through. You will have a stopover at Lake Kivu for Lunch, before using a boat to your lodge at the park for a rest and a peaceful slumber

Day9:Nyungwe national park- Chimp tracking and canopy walk

Today, you will great your intestines with a yummy breakfast meal, for rainbow a drive to the park headquarters for registration, and to be briefed by the park rangers who will explain the tracking rules, and offer company through to the jungle. Chimpanzee tracking lasts for roughly 1-6hours depending on your spending and where these relatives are, plus one extra hour of photography, observation and inquiries.

Nyungwe forest is famous for chimpanzees which co-exists with 12 unique primates such as the Columbus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and baboons among others. After chimpanzee tracking, you will have a lunch break, followed by an afternoon 1-2 canopy walk. You will relax and enjoy photo moments on a suspended canopy on treetops which offers an aerial view of the park, fascinating landscape, and different primes and birds on treetops. Dinner and overnight come last.

Day10: Transfer to Virunga national park


You will brighten your day with a yummy breakfast meal before hitting the road on a 5-6 hour transfer to Virunga national park in the democratic republic of Congo. there will be an en-route lunch stop as well as document verification at the border post, before afternoon arrival at the park for dinner and a nap.

Day11: Hike to the summit of Mount Nyiragongo

After consuming a hefty breakfast meal, you will drive to the park headquarters for a briefing which commences at 10:00hrs, with park rangers explaining the does and don'ts of Hiking. Thereafter, you are transferred to Kibati trailhead where the 5-6 hour hiking exercise starts, through a forested region with a collection of birds and primates, as well as plantations and mammals.

Hitting the summit is a great reward and gives one a chance of watching the blazing crater, the aerial view of Virunga national park, and other mountains around. Known by many as general Nyiragongo; this is one of the most active volcanic mountains in the world.

You will have a lunch stop at a certain point, before hitting the summit where you will spend about 1-2 hours of fun, photography, and celebrations.

Day 12: Descend and drive to Kigali international airport


After lovely morning breakfast, and watching the captivating sunrise, you will descend to the mountain base where your driver-guide will pick you up for a transfer to Kigali international airport for a flight to the next destination.
